Application and design of the screw
The collated screw with drill point and wings is designed for fixing soft materials to steel profiles. The wings create a passage through the soft material before the drill tip engages in the steel. The drill point drills the screw in and forms a thread in the steel substrate.
The cutting grooves on the head countersink the screw during installation. Drive the screw perpendicular through the board material into the steel profile and let the wings create a clear passage before drilling into the steel.
