Application and design of the screw
The decking screw is designed for fixing decking boards to a timber substructure and makes it easier to pull down even slightly twisted boards. The milling section of the thread reduces the need for pre-drilling, and the upper clamping thread creates strong clamping pressure between the board and the substructure. The cylindrical head with milling ribs countersinks without significant splintering and reduces the risk of splitting the board ends.
