Gluing outdoors – choosing the right adhesive for installation
Gluing outdoors
Gluing outdoors has different requirements from gluing indoors. We will help you choose the right product for outdoor installation.
Which adhesive should you choose?
Remember that adhesives that stand up to outdoor conditions can also be used indoors, but not the other way round. Use the table below to choose the right adhesive for outdoor use.
Follow these general principles when gluing:
- Check that the surfaces to be glued are compatible with the adhesive
- Do an adhesion test to check that the adhesive holds before the actual gluing
- Clean the surfaces to be glued
- Press the joint together if necessary
