Renovating in confined spaces – how to do it
The ESSBOX+ system in confined spaces
Carpenter Erik Bolander often renovates in confined spaces. With the ESSBOX+ system he can organise his tools and fasteners vertically.

Two men in 6 square metres – that is a real challenge
We meet at his van, parked just over 200 metres from the flat that he and his colleagues Kim and Sebaztian are completely renovating. They are to refurbish the surfaces, build new storage in the hallway and change the layout of the floor. Top of today's to-do list, however, are the kitchen cabinets.
– Almost three metres to the ceiling makes it easier for two to work together. But two people in 6 m² is still a challenge.
How does ESSBOX+ solve it?
– When I have all my tools and fasteners on the trolley during the working day, the system takes up only half a square metre.
The cases are my ladder
When the cases are stacked on top of each other, how do you get to the things in the lower layers?
– The new case has a split handle – and the cases can also be joined together – so I can open the middle case without first having to unclip the one on top.
And how do you get things out of the crate at the bottom?
– I simply lift off the joined cases in one movement, take what I need and put the ‘stack of cases’ back.
Today you are working at height – where is your ladder?
– It does not fit in here. Instead I use the cases as a ladder.
Is it really enough for a contractor who commutes to work?
– Yes, the new ESSBOX case can survive being run over by a pickup, so an ordinary carpenter can use it with complete peace of mind ;)

My back says thank you
In what other ways does the system make your life easier?
– Today, when I had to park just over 200 metres from the workplace, I took everything I needed in one go. Usually I have to walk between the van and the workplace several times with heavy equipment. My back says: thank you, at last!
Do you have any other tips you would like to share?
– Take the lids off the boxes and put them underneath the boxes in the ESSBOX case. I see a lot of people who still have not worked this out. Straight away you can see what you have and how much of it.
