High clamping force in timber joints

The screw has a large head diameter, which creates a high clamping force during installation. The underside of the screw head is shaped to seat correctly when fixing into beams and timber joist hangers. The head has a very low height, which makes seating easier. Longer screws have an additional fibre-cutting thread directly behind the regular wood thread, which makes it easier to install longer and thicker screws.
