Large head for drawing a timber joint tightly together

The screw has a large head diameter, which creates a very high clamping force during installation. The underside of the screw head is shaped to seat correctly when fixing into beams and timber joist hangers.

The head also has a very low height, which can be an advantage during installation. Longer screws have an additional fibre-cutting thread directly behind the regular wood thread, which makes it easier to install longer and thicker screws.
