Testing the ESSBOX+ system
Hear from the carpenter who tested the ESSBOX+ system
Carpenter Tim Jaederfeldt took part in developing ESSBOX+ and tested the system for six months. Hear what he thinks of it and how he uses it.

Which part of the system is your favourite?
– The case in the ideal size! Bigger than the Mini and smaller than the Standard. Because the cases can be joined together, I can carry more in one hand. I am not the only one who has lifted an unclosed case and then picked the entire contents up off the floor. The split handle prevents that. Brilliant!
The system was created to reduce carpenters' everyday stress. Has it succeeded?
– Oh yes, the system saves time in several ways. The case keeps things in order, the crate holds a lot – more than I first thought – and thanks to the trolley you can take everything you need from the van to the site in one go. And your back does not pay the price.
How much time do you save when you only go to the van once?
– Sometimes I have to park several hundred metres from the site. At other times I have to climb a steep hill. When you do not have to go back and forth several times to have everything to hand, you save a lot of time.
What will you do with the time you save? More coffee breaks?
– Haha, I do not need more coffee. For me, less clutter at work means more time with my six children.
3 tips for getting the most out of the system:
1. Put the lids in the case under the box.
I see a lot of people who still have not worked this out. When the lid is under the box, you can see straight away what you have and how much of it!
2. Use the dividers that come with the crate!
They make it easy to keep things in order and find what you need.
3. The trolley carries everything.
I use it for all kinds of transport. It is small and manoeuvrable, but it can carry up to 125 kg. Bags of cement, timber… practically anything!
