Inspiration and tips

Wood adhesives

Wood adhesive Snabb fills gaps and hardens within 30 seconds. With the other adhesives the joint needs to be clamped for about 30 minutes. Wood adhesive PU is water-resistant and is used in damp environments.

Construction adhesives

Our ESSTACK range of construction adhesives handles most gluing tasks. But we also have more specialised products.

Adhesives for stone and boards

Stone adhesive is excellent for stone and expanded clay blocks and cures in just 10 minutes. If you use board adhesive when fitting boards, you will need fewer screws and therefore less finishing work.

A common mistake

Stains on the facade

To prevent stains forming around screws or nails, use stainless steel fasteners. All our facade screws are made of high-quality A4 stainless steel. That way you cannot go wrong.

Installation tips

Keep this in mind when installing with stone adhesive

  • Wear gloves when working with stone adhesive.
  • Bear in mind that stone adhesive expands in volume by 10 – 20 % as it cures.
  • Protect stone adhesive from the sun – paint over it or cover it. UV radiation causes the adhesive to lose its adhesive properties.
  • Adhesive foam for stone should not be used as a substitute for mortar in load-bearing structures or where compliance with the EN 998-2 standard is required.
  • Suitable uses include, for example, low stone walls and setting kerbs, coping stones and the like.

What comes in handy when gluing

An applicator gun and a cleaning agent should never be missing during installation. The activator speeds up the curing of Stenlim Skum adhesive, wood adhesive PU and gun foam.
